MirrorDome Software

The Swinburne Mirrordome software, combined with our projection system, is a proven and worry free way of fast-tracking entry into digital full dome presentations, without wasting time and money on parallel development. Included in Swinburne's Mirrordome software, as at September 2008:

1. The Swinburne Contract Package:
   • Interface - graphic interface tool to enable -
     • Playback of movies
     • Launching of software applications
     • Projection of DVD and Web downloads as quadrantal images
   • Werewolf Player - plays fisheye movies in QuickTime format
   • Panodome - a fisheye panoramic image viewer (with samples)
   • Geomviewer - an interactive 3D dome dataset viewer (with samples)
   
   
2. Plus content:
   • Solar4Dome - interactive Solar System Simulator and Fly Through
   • Stellarium - The popular full dome orrery
   • Celestia - An interactive Celestial simulator
   • Additional astronomy simulations - added to and updated.
   
   
3. Warranty and Service: Warranty and service for two years, which includes additions and updates as developed, plus regular Technical Bulletins. Operators are also invited to join the Mirrordome Google Group. The service fee can be renewed on an annual basis if required.
   

Notes

1. Local purchase of projectors and computers should hopefully be less expensive
2. Items from Australia must be negotiated in Australian currency
3. From October 2008, domes and movies are quoted in U.S. Dollars
4. Freight, Custom Duty, Insurances, and Local Taxes are not included
